Ignition wires
VOLVO - Top Gun manufacture an extensive range of ignition lead sets suitable for European vehicles. Sets are assembled with cable which utilises spiralled stainless steel core and high temperature silicone insulation. They are designed to closely match the original style, utilising original style boots or close alternatives where applicable.
Spiral wire cable - has a low resistance, very tough stainless steel conductor. It is designed to behave and look like the original style cables used on European cars.

Some Volvo distributor caps come with protruding pin fittings. These sets are supplied with special distributor terminals, designed to fit into Volvo pin style distributors.

Ignition wires
On some kits the distibutor terminals need to fit over the original style distributor cap pins. These are deeply recessed within the distributor sockets.

When installing the distributor connection, the terminals need to be pushed firmly into the cap to ensure positive connection. Listen for the terminal to ‘click’ into position to ensure that positive connection has been made.

The right angle distributor boots will need to be ‘bled’ of air otherwise they may tend to ‘pop off’ the distributor. This can be achieved by slipping a small screwdriver beside the right angle boot to allow the trapped air to escape.
